Community Educator Training
Are YOU interested in getting INVOLVED in the classroom? Do you have some extra time in your mornings to spare?
VOLUNTEERING as an EDUCATOR at the Rape Crisis Center may provide a great OPPORTUNITY for you.
The Center annually presents safety programs in almost all the elementary school classrooms across Orange county. This is a great opportunity to support children and work to stop sexual abuse and its impact. The Rape Crisis Center is conducting training for community educators starting the first week in August. Don’t worry it is not too late to apply. This is a great opportunity to work in the elementary schools with kids of all ages. Spanish-speakers and individuals with daytime and weekday availability are strongly encouraged to apply.
As part of the training you will learn about our Safe Touch Programs and learn how to talk with children about sexual abuse in a way that they will understand. We also address other issues relating to sexual violence. The training class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – Noon through September. Your time and commitment can make an enormous difference in our schools and community. Come be a part of something amazing!
